Janice Waddell receives the Ryerson University Provost's Innovative Teaching Award

This award recognizes Janice as a Ryerson educator who has an outstanding teaching record and who has made contributions to advancing teaching and learning at Ryerson through educational innovation. She will be presented with the award in March. Congratulations Janice!


EXTRA Fellowship Program

Gail is teaching two sessions at the annual EXTRA Fellowship Program in Montreal on February 7th, one on coaching and one on interprofessional collaboration.


Mary receives PCC re-certification from ICF

Mary has successfully met the requirements for re-certification of her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coach Federation. This required completing 40 hours of contiuning coach education. Congratulations Mary!

Mary M. Wheeler MEd, PCC

Mary's consulting expertise is in organization and human resource development and she is a certified coach. Mary received her Master of Education (Adult) degree from the University of Toronto and her undergraduate degree in nursing from Dalhousie University; a Certificate in Planned Change from Cambridge Consultants, Ann Arbor, Michigan; a Certificate in Coaching from The Newfield Network, Boulder, Colorado and has her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is also qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and has had training in Somatic Coaching and the VIA Character Strengths. 

Mary is active in national, provincial and local volunteer organizations and has served on a number of boards. She is currently a member of the American Professional Nurse Coach Role Advisory Committee, the Canadian College of Health Leaders Mentorship Design Team and Ryerson University, Nursing Advisory Committee. Since 2006 she has been a volunteer with the Brampton YMCA as a Lifestyle Coach. She is an active member in the ICF, the Association of Career Professionals International (ACPI) and the Career Planning and Adult Development Network (CPADN) for whom she has been a book reviewer. She has also been a book proposal reviewer for Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). In 2008 she co-spearheaded the Brampton Board of Trade, Women Entrepreneurs and Leadership Advisory Council. In 2000 she was nominated for the Canadian Women's Mentor Award-Business & Professional Category and in 1999 Mary was an invited delegate to the first Canadian/USA Businesswomen's Trade Summit. She divides her time between her home office in Brampton and her cottage on the Bruce Peninsula where she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and biking.
