About Us

Gail J. Donner and Mary M. Wheeler are well known for their long standing interest in and commitment to professional development. We have been business partners since 1992. Gail brings to the partnership expertise in education, research, and health policy. Mary brings expertise in organization and human resource development and coaching. As career development consultants we speak, write, do research, provide workshops and individual and group coaching, and consult on career development strategies. We have provided career planning and development consultation services in Canada, the United States, Europe and Africa. We also collaborate with a variety of associates to acheive success.

Over the years donnerwheeler has been acknowledged for our innovation and collaboration. We are most proud of our career planning and development model; our evidence based practice; our programs and services; our publications; and our collaborations . Some highlights include:

• the Donner-Wheeler Career Planning and Development Model© which forms the basis of the work we do
• the publication of our third book Taking Control of Your Career: A Handbook for Health Professionals by Elsevier Canada
• collaborating with the International Council of Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International to develop a free downloadable online coaching workbook for nurses, Coaching in Nursing: An Introduction
• in collaboration with Integral Visions Consulting, the development of a Five-Phase Mentoring Relationship Model©
• one of our clients receiving the International Coach Federation -GTA PRISM Award for implementing our coaching programs and services 
• the Canadian Nursing Student's Association adopting the Donner-Wheeler Career Planning and Develop Model as part of their national strategy; the Model being used in an number of Schools of Nursing in Canada in conjunction with our book Building Your Nursing Career: A Guide for Students
• the launch in 2005 of the donnerwheeler Nursing Career Scholarship, a scholarship of five thousand dollars awarded through the Registered Nurses Foundation of Ontario 
• collaborating with Adler School of Professional Coaching Inc. to provide continuing education programs for coaches
• collaborating with Sigma Theta Tau International to provide Achieving Your Lifelong Career workshops in Orlando, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Chicago
